Sorry about the background noise but we are a busy Sea Side Town and on the Main Road in the Town Centre and there is always lots of background noise, Wind, Traffic, People, Seagulls etc
These bike finds are getting harder and harder to find now
Here we have a one owner from new 1964 BSA A50 500cc Motorcycle Project
Original V5C (Log Book) Owner could not find but we applied and have the very latest V5C (Log Book) from DVLA
We where told it was put in the garage late 1972 probably November / December 50 Years Ago, (Tax Disc run out in January 1973) and was running then
The speedo is only displaying 4038 miles - Its also has a Smiths 120 mph Chronometric S.608/11 Speedometer and you know how much they are worth alone
It was forgotten about an rediscovered this year
The top of the engine had locked up with standing (quite normal) and the last owner stripped the head and tried to free it off and damaged one of the pistons and scored the barrel
Both pistons are now removed and the engine is nice and free and appears in good condition but obviously should be stripped, checked and rebuilt with new bearing, seals and gaskets
The top of the engine has has put loosely back together, all other nuts bolts etc are in the top box (See Pictures)
Also included in the sale is a set of very good barrels, matching pistons and rings (see pictures)
PLEASE NOTE
Tin Ware has surface rust otherwise they are solid
Tank again has surface rust but is solid and very clean inside (even better after a proper clean - see pictures
Exhausts where good and bad but not salvageable and have been removed and disposed of
We have not done anything to the bike apart from disposing of the exhausts
